dKBCandlesAndChimesIndoorWaterFountainsIf you’re looking for something to help you relax at home or work, and the scented candles, Zen gardens and stress balls just aren’t doing the job, take a look at indoor water fountains. They can be placed inside or out and come in a variety of shapes and styles.

Not only are the fountains nice to look out, but studies have shown that splashing water releases healthful negative ions that bond with unwanted dust particles, bio-aerosols and allergens, and the white noise from the water can drown out the noise of cars, talking, television, and every other distracting and annoying sound that’s stopping you from a relaxing moment.

orange-blossom-specialReed diffusers give your room a fragrance without flames or electric.  Oil filled diffusers last a good while between refills.

The oil travels up the reed and fills the room with your favorite fragrance.

Reed diffusers work best in small rooms and it is best to turn reeds over from time to time to renew the  fragrance.  But take care in doing this as fragrance filled oil can remove the finish on most any surface.  It is best to use a  paper towel to wipe the removed end of the reed.

The various designs reed diffusers come in will fit into most any decor.  Oil for the reeds comes in many different  fragrances, so you should have no problem finding your favorite.

Set Up An Oil Diffuser In Your Home

1 February;  Author: DecoratingWithStyle

6oz-square-kitThere is one way to clean the air you breathe and help you de-stress in the home.  Using reed diffusers is very easy and effective in diffusing your favorite essential oil. It releases micro-fine vapors throughout any open space in your home or office. The vapors last for extended periods of time so it isn’t very expensive to use.

Setting up your oil diffuser is very easy. You can set it up under the table or in a corner in your room so it remains hidden from sight. You shouldn’t mix oils together since they may reduce or alter the desired effect of one of the oils. Use the diffuser for about 5-15 minutes if you are a first time user. You will eventually get used to the oil so you can have it run continuously after that. An appliance timer can be useful so you can set the diffuser to turn on and off automatically.
